The main reason this book was written was to help a possible new homeowner or a current homeowner out with maintaining their mortgage. The book is full of lessons and points that should be picked up before taking on a mortgage. The book does a great job covering all the necessary points: don't overextend your credit line, always keep extra money around just in case something goes wrong, and paying off the mortgage early isn't the worst idea.
The only problem I had with it was that the book tended to repeat itself. I think the book could have been 100 pages shorter and still teach the reader a lot.
Most people will skip this book because a 300 page book on how to manage a mortgage doesn't seem necessary and it isn't.
